They are no longer the 'Dream Team' but the 'Redeem Team.' Team USA faced off against China in the opening game in Beijing. Jonathan and I were stucked to TV watching that game. In a pre-match interview, LeBron James told the media that they had already promised gold, and so they will not lose to China. Big words from a big man. I thought he sounded a little cocky but that goes to show how confident the Americans were. Although I was rooting for the U.S but I was kinda hoping that they might lose, just to see how LeBron James would respond to a post-match interview. In the end, Team USA won the match easily with a score of 101-70. Things were looking good for the Americans but can they continue this performance when they meet stronger nations later in games?
