Finally watched The Dark Knight on Friday with Joanne. Check out a few cinemas and they were all pretty packed. In the end, we watched at shaw, beach road. Its been a long time since we both went there to watch a movie. The theatre was huge! It was almost like watching a play. Anyway, the movie was pretty good but not awesome like I expected. Bravo to the whole cast of the movie, they were great.*clap. However, I was not that sure of the plot of the show. At one point, it seem really draggy. The movie was a little too long for me. Alot of explosives were used in the show, maybe to make up for the lack of superpowers used in the show. I think one of the big plus point for me was the soundtrack used. The music worked extremely well in creating the mood for each particular scene. And of course, how can I not talk about the Joker, Heath Ledger. I am sure many were anticipating his version of the Joker. I would have to say he really did brought the Joker alive. The gestures, laughter and the way he spoke made the character fearful and entertaining at the same time. One part which I found enjoyable was how he introduced himself to the mob. The Joker stuck a pencil onto the table and said: "I will make this pencil disappear." And the next thing he did was to smash a guy's head onto the pencil. The pencil was then pierced onto the guy's forehead and disappeared from the table. "Ta-Da" the Joker said. The media has been saying how the director now has a problem to find a replacement for the role as Joker. I do not really see a problem. It might be big shoes to fill but there are many great actors out there ready to take the role. I think there are 2 hollywood actors who I think can fill the shoes of Heath. Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey. Think about it Mr.Nolan. So I'll give The Dark Knight 4 popcorns! Looking forward to the next one.
