Malacca Day 2

Big Breakfast.
Joanne and I at the fort.
Aed at St.Francis Xavier church.
Chicken Rice ball. (Don't they look like fishballs?)
Me eating chendo.

We woke up at around 9 plus 10 in the morning. After getting ready, we made our way down to have our 1st breakfast in Malacca. We could collect this breakfast voucher thingy so we won't have to pay for it. Martina, Joanne and I ordered Big Breakfast while Gerald ordered one of the other sets. The big breakfast was really BIG, you can really see the difference if you compare it to the big breakfast from McDonalds. After finishing the whole set, all of us were too full to even think of lunch. We had planned to eat chicken rice ball for lunch and it seemed like we had to push lunch to a later time. After breakfast, we decided to go do some sight seeing. We visited the famous Christ Church, then walked down to this fort that very much resembles fort canning. Then, we walked down to St.Paul Church to have a look. The weather was blazing hot on this day. Martina wanted to have a drink at Gloria Jean but we could not find it, so we went to a coffeeshop like place to have a drink. The auntie showed us the menu and we found something really interesting about it. The english translation for the items in the menu were really unique. One I thought was pretty interesting was how they translate tap water. The translation was "Sky Juice." Pretty cool uh, juice from the sky.ha. We ordered 4 sodas and a bottle of mineral water. After taking a break there, we walked to the chicken rice stall to have lunch. Yum Yum, I love chicken rice. When we were there, there was a long queue outside the shop, we waited but not long. We ordered 1/2 a chicken and all of us had 5 chicken rice balls. It was my first time eating it. It taste just like chicken rice.duh.But it was really nice, we were super full after finishing our lunch. So, we decided to take a walk down Jonker St again. We stopped by this shop and I saw some pretty interesting toy giraffes which I bought for my 2 nephews and 1 for myself. We then walked down to the Jonker Gallery to see some clothing. After we shopped enough, we went into a shop by Jonker St to have chendo. The chendo was really refreshing in such a hot weather. After eating chendo, we headed back to the hotel. We decided to try the rooftop jacuzzi at the hotel. The jacuzzi was pretty shiok but then the clouds turn dark and lightning could be seen, so we decided to head back into our hotel. We washed up and got ready for dinner. We took a trishaw, 2 actually, to our dinner place. (It was a nice 1st time exprience taking a trishaw.) We headed to this place called Satay Capitol. I really want to recommend this place to anyone who plans to go to Malacca. We had satay celoh (not sure if that's the correct spelling.) Anyway, its actually steamboat using satay sauce instead of soup. It was super nice. We took sticks of food at the counter, then went back to the table to eat. The food was great, we ate a total of 51 sticks of food. After dinner, we took a cab to Makota shopping centre to catch a movie. We bought tickets for Indiana Jones at 920pm. We had around 1hr30min to shop around. Joanne and I walked around and then stopped by a shop selling food! I decided to buy some for my family. My "some" ended up to becoming one huge plastic bag of food. After buying all that, we bought a cheesecake from Starbucks(i think, i always get confused with coffeebean and starbucks.) for Gerald as it was his birthday. We hid the cheesecake in my huge bag of food so he would not see it. Then we went for our movie. I was pretty disappointed with the movie, the storyline was o-kay, the ending was predictable and really far-fetched. What made it worse was the standard of the CG created scenes, they look really unrealistic. I'll give it a 3/10. We went back to the hotel after the show and gave Gerald a surprise birthday celebration. There weren't candles, so we had to use a lighter as a replacement. This was probably the last highlight of the day. We watched a little bit of tv and went to get some beauty sleep.
