Alright, here I go...I will attempt to blog about my malacca trip.
There were 4 of us that were going to Malacca, Martina, Gerald, Joanne and me. As usual, we went down to church in the morning for mass. We planned to leave by 3pm in order to reach there in time for some food! However, schedules are seldom followed. After mass, I had mass practice and then we went to Adrian's place as he had a house warming. By the way, Adrian's house looks great! It's at Eunos and we had a hard time finding the place. (we got lost.) After staying at Adrian's place for awhile, we set off for our trip. We took a long drive towards Malacca..eh..not really long actually. We had estimated the drive to be up to 2hrs. When we were at the tuas causeway, we experience a short jam. Before we reached Malacca, we stopped by a rest station, Yong Peng where i indulged in my favourite, "THE RAMILY BURGER." If there are some of you who ate this before in Singapore but not in Malaysia, you have not eaten it before at all. We finally reached Malacca and hotel at 8pm. The hotel we were staying was called Aldy Hotel. We offload all our bags in the hotel and went out for dinner. Before we travelled to our dinner place, we stop by a street performer, Master Ho. (Mart, Gerald and Joanne...if you are reading this, you should know.) Master Ho was able to open up a coconut with one finger! Cool right? He was also able to drag the show time for 1hr! Even cooler right? Yup, we waited for very long before he open up his 1st coconut. He then planned to open another but we were too hungry to carry on waiting for him to finish talking. And so, we walked down Jonker Street. (abit like Bugis Street.) We stopped by a nyonya restaurant for dinner. The place closes at 9pm, we reached only at 8.45pm but the staff was kind enough to still take orders from us. We ordered..erm..let me see if I can remember. kang kong, fishball soup, Sambal Fish, Curry Chicken, Otah and 4 glasses of lime juice. We had a great dinner! After dinner, we strolled down Jonker Street. There were many things for sale at Jonker Street. There were T-shirts, bubble tea, toys, bags, accessories and even pets(scorpions too)! Joanne bought some clips for her mom. So, we headed back to the hotel after that. I had an exiting start to the first day and was looking forward to the next day. We all finally concuss at around 12am.
As some of my friends will know, I am afraid of taking the plane. So, I do not go on holidays out of Singapore very often. (The last time I took a plane was when I was 9.) That would explain my excitement in this trip. Did you know? : My passport pages were totally empty before I came into Malaysia.
Ok, that was my first day in Malacca. I will continue with the 2nd day as soon as I can.
